Indian institutes are offering courses on Psychiatry with the aim to educate the students about the different aspects of the field. These courses are structured to provide the individuals with training that will enable them to explore the labyrinths of the mind using evidences and well established techniques.
It is a psychiatrist’s job to discern between normal and deviant behavior. The sensitive nature of the job draws upon the individual to have adequate knowledge of ethnicity and the ability to overcome such hurdles. The job of the psychiatrist requires him to adopt an emphatic approach towards his patients and try and explore his case while making use of psychotherapy.
The psychiatrist starts off by understanding the history, economic standing, ethnic influence and the psychological balance or imbalance and then he can administer drugs that will help the individual cope up with his problems. The job requires the psychiatrist to penetrate deep into the mind of his patient and determine the root cause of the problem in order to be able to cure him.
The field is challenging and interesting for those people who are willing to sacrifice their lives in order to help the weak and fragile minds so that they may be able to cope up with the reality of life.
